Subject: 10384/CityCode/Building/10-3(f)(E) Date: Wed, 4 Jan 1995 12:41:26 -0500 ORDINANCE NO. 10384 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHATTANOOGA CITY CODE, PART II, SECTION 10-3(f)(E), RELATIVE TO THE MOVING OF BUILDINGS. SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that Section 10-3(f)(E), Part II, Chattanooga City Code, be and hereby is amended by striking said section in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following: (E) The applicant for a permit for the moving of a building within the corporate limits of the City shall file with the Building Inspection Department: (1) A certificate of insurance providing coverage for transportation of any building where the City of Chattanooga, Tennessee, is named as an additional insured, issued by a casualty company authorized to do business in the State of Tennessee, in an amount of not less than $130,000.00 for injury to one and $350,000.00 for an injury to more than one in any one accident and $50,000.00 property damage. (2) A license and permit bond in the amount of $10,000.00 binding an insurance company authorized to do business in the State of Tennessee to insure the performance of the contractor within a reasonable period of time conditioned that the building removal will conform to all regulations and ordinances of the City in reference to the moving of buildings along or over any street, alley or public way of the City. 0C SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that this Ordinance shall be effective two (2) weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
